Before we get to the 2010 Big East Tournament its time to look at the 2009 SEC/Big East Invitational being held in New York and Tampa Bay. Featuring some of the most competitive teams in the conference, this will be another great year to get some SEC Big East Invitational tickets so that you can watch all the action in person. The third annual SEC/BIG EAST Invitational is taking place on December 9-10 in New York City’s Madison Square Garden and in Tampa’s St. Pete Times Forum. As far as a hot college basketball tickets go this has to be one of the hottest. You definitely don’t want to miss out on seeing the Big East try to topple the SEC.
The first night of the SEC Big East invitational will see a doubleheader Wednesday, Dec. 9, at MSG. The first game of the Invitational will see the Georgia Bulldogs take on the St John’s Red Storm at 7 p.m., followed by the Kentucky Wildcats taking on the Uconn Huskies in what should be some terrific NCAA basketball. The UConn Huskies made it all the way to the Final Four last year, while the Wildcats participated in the NIT.
In the second day of the Big East SEC Invitational, taking place on Thursday, Dec. 10, at the St. Pete Times Forum, DePaul battles Mississippi State with a 6:30 p.m. start-time. And following that, with a 9 p.m. start time, the Syracuse Orangemen take on the Florida Gators. Both Syracuse and Mississippi State were invited to the NCAA Tournament last year, with the Orange making it all the way to the Sweet Sixteen.
Up until now the Big East has gotten the better of the SEC, holding a 5-3 record. But the past is not always an indicator of the future so you’ll have to get SEC Big East Invitational tickets if you want to see who comes out on top this year.
